I was in Manitowaning today at the Islanders Quilt Show. We saw the Ground Zero Quilt and I must say that it took my breath away. The impact is something that words cannot express. We felt very fortunate to be able to see your work just one short week after watching all the memorial celebrations in New York and across the United States.
God Bless you for all of of your fine work.

WITH THE DEATH OF BIN LADEN, FOR WHICH I AM THANKFUL, I WANTED TO REVIST THE REASON WE COMMITTED THIS ACT. I THINK RETRIBUTION WAS JUST AND HOPEFULLY, FOR THE FAMILIES OF THE 911 VICTIMS, A SOME SMALL FEELING OF CLOSURE FOR THE FAMILY MEMBER THEY LOST. THIS QUILT IS A BEAUTIFUL TRIBUTE TO THOSE WHO PERISHED AND A WONDERFUL REMEMBERANCE FOR THOSE LEFT BEHIND.

When I received this, there were 14,400 comments. Why bother to add mine? It would be so insignificant amont all these. I am a quilter, so I am awestruck, but moreso I am a Christian who knows WHY you made this quilt and WHY so many people were there to help you with all aspects of it. Thank you so much.

Hi Lois,
Although I've known you through quiltart and also the StayAtHomeChallenge, I never knew you made this outstanding quilt. It is very moving. I commend you on all the effort, expertise, and sheer determination it took to finish it. Your efforts have resulted in something that will stay with the viewer for a long long time.
Wishing you JOY on your journey,
ann

Thank you for speaking with me today at the West Suburban Quilt Show at Mount Mary College. I purchased one of the posters because your display of it was really moving to me. When I showed my husband the poster and had him read the website he asked me to get him one so that he could have it framed and hang it in Washington D.C. in his office in the Counter Terrorism division of the Department of Justice. I was suprised to see it was never shown in D.C. Thank You for your beautiful thought and talent and sharing your story. Beth

I viewed your quilt last weekend at the Champlain Valley Quilters' show at Shelburne Farms, Vermont. An amazing adaptation of the Lone Star pattern. The soft colours belie the violence of the horrendous event.

Thank you for a beautiful tribute to those lost in the 9/11 tragedy. I thank God for you and this web site to let us speak our hearts and minds words. This tragedy has been on my mind, more so lately, because of this being election year. I pray we make a good choice for the safety of the US because we should never forget what it cost us to let our guard down. I did not lose a loved one but I pray for the families and friends that did suffer loss to have peace and hope these did not die in vain. God bless the US and never forget 9/11. In prayer and solidarity. God bless Vikki

My brother was one of the victims of the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center. He was 45 years old, married, with two young sons.
He was a Vice-President of Cantor Fitzgerald and was on the 104th Floor of the North Tower.
Your amazing tribute quilt is a wonderful reminder of all those brave souls that were lost. For many of us, there was nothing to recover from ground zero.
To know that someone has preserved the memory of so many of these people is a great comfort and will serve as a reminder that they will never be forgot.
On behalf of my entire family, I thank you for your gift to us all.

Dear Lois, Friends and I saw your quilt in Ft Myers, Fl in January. It was a very moving experience! Many thanks and God's blessings to you and your supporters for sharing this reminder of the fallen men and women of 9/11. A work of art indeed and a privileged experience.
