In my work as a fiber artist, I integrate my love of collage, found objects and fabric to create unique art quilts. My small intimate wall pieces evoke a mood or have
deeper inner meaning which can be interpreted by the individual viewer.
My fascination with happy accidents and creating something out of nothing are themes that run through my work. I use naturally
occurring iron oxide to magically transform found fabric into art cloth. Some pieces of cloth stand on their own as complete compositions, needing no further elaboration. Others I combine with quilting techniques to
explore the visual and social themes of women's work which have long inspired me.
